Most of the Nunya's have made the Annual Pilgrimmage to Kings Cross Sydney each year for approximately 10 years (some for 13 years) to attend the Football Grand Finals and to Drink, be merry and drink and drink and then drink some more. There are quite a few Associate Nunya's who join us from all over Australia to uphold this tradition. Sometimes accompanied by Mascot Monica when she is not going down. (Must patch that doll one of these days).
Following the Sydney Football Grand Finals is the Indy 300 with 4 days & 4 nights of partying around the middle of October. Cavill Avenue & Orchid Avenue bars and nightclubs at Surfers Paradise Gold Coast are where the Nunya's will be found if not trackside. Keep a look out for their distinctive shirts.
During the year certain Nunyas attend various other functions, luncheons and charity fundraisers. Keep an eye out for them. Pictured here is Miller with Trevor Gillmeister at Fridays after Trevor Gillmeister was guest speaker for the Brisbane Beer and Beef Luncheon attended by Nunya's - Miller Bazza & Bank Manager.
What Drives Us:
The love of sport, fun, meeting new people, good company, lots of laughter and possibly a few coldies keep us returning on our various tours but the fundamental objective is to have a good time and meet some very memorable people.
The Nunya's also support fundraising for the "Make-A-Wish Foundation" of Australia. The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Australia has granted over 4,000 wishes since it began in 1985 to children with life threatening illnesses. That is a lot of magic!! Their mission is to bring magic and joy to children with a life threatening illness by granting their most cherished wishes. Their vision is that all Australians have the opportunity to share the power of a wish.
